After six years of horribly painful dentistry and sedations twice a year it is with a big smile I'm now able to tell everyone that I've finally found a practice that can treat me pain free and without sedation. Even with a medical condition making just that little bit more complicated, I can honestly say that as soon as the local anaesthetic was delivered to the correct spot, something other dentists have failed to achieve, I sat grinning in the chair for the rest of my root canal treatment.

The whole experience was a breath of fresh air from the moment I walked through the door. The reception staff were friendly and efficient and it makes such a difference to have a medical professional explain exactly what's going on and what my treatment choices are.

I was made to feel at ease by Dr Badiani's easy going confidence and history of successfully treating the more sensitive patient. So much so that during our initial consultation when it was suggested I try one last time with a local before being booked in for a sedation I agreed. By the end of that appointment I had a shiny new temporary root filling instead of the tooth ache.

I would recommend anybody opting for sedation as a result of previous painful dental work to give Dr Badiani and his team a go first, it really has changed my view of dentists. I now know and fully believe that pain is totally unneccessary in good dentistry.

I was delighted to be asked to share my own personal experiences at Victoria Road Dental Practice, who not only transformed my smile but transformed my whole attitude to Dentistry.

I cannot have been the easiest of patients, suffering for many years from an immence fear of any form of dental treatment! A few years ago I walked....very shakily and with great apprehension....through their door and I can say that from that moment I was made to feel at ease and comfortable.

All the staff had endless patience and genuinely went out of their way to help me cope with my fears. The whole team, the Receptionists, the Practice Managers, the Dental Nurses, Hygienists and the Dental Surgeons all have a most caring and kind approach and inspired confidence. I was given time to explain my worries and in turn I had every step of my treatments explained.

I was sure that I would be thought of as beyond help but as all the necessary treatments progressed they were given in calm and comfortable surroundings with obvious skill...I can honestly say for the first time ever I experienced pain free dentistry; something I really thought did not exist until I was fortunate enough to be treated by Doctor Badiani and his Associates who make such an outstanding team.

You asked me to drop you a note concerning my experience with your practice. I have been a patient for the past three years during which a life time's partial neglect of my teeth came home to roost so I have been a regular visitor to your premises.

My First impression was what a beautiful reception I received as I walked in the door and met for the first time the wonderful smile and tremendous effiency known as Liz. She exuded confidence and clearly knew what she was talking about. As I met other girls from the front reception I came to realise this was the norm not the exception.

My first treatment with you personally immediately confirmed my expectation that you would carry out your work with a deep knowledge of modern practice and delivered with courtesy and skill. I quickly began to appreciate that you were working using the vanguard of modern practise. Later I was transferred to Anne Marie Smith who was a delight to deal with. Once again a very skilled practitioner and someone I have come to think of as a friend.

I fully endorse your practice for the award that you are applying for and I must admit that I can think of no criticism of what you do.

You obviously take a great deal of trouble choosing your staff as, without exception, they are all most friendly, helpful and encouraging .

From the beginning and throughout my treatment I have been treated with professionalism and kindness by you and all the staff. In fact, I have felt part of your "family" and enjoy visiting the surgery when I need follow-up treatment.

On one occasion, when I had a problem at a weekend, you treated me when you were unwell which was much appreciated.

So many people have problems with dentures as I did for a short time  that I had them, and I am so glad that I had implants fitted.

Whenever the occasion arises I always recommend implants and without hesitation, recommend your practice if they want a professional and first class job done. I will gladly speak to any of your patients who are apprehensive of commencing treatment, if only to reassure them.

You have given me back my confidence as I no longer need to hide my mouth behind my hand when talking. I now feel like a new woman for which I thank you and all your staff.
